Popes Chapel UCC Youth Committee members are: Alton Crudup, Renae Smith, Minister Linda Perry, Darry Perry, Shanea Crudup and Yvonne C. Dalton.  The Youth Advisor presides over the Youth Hour which is held the first and third Sunday during the 11:00 am worship service. 

The Youth Committee mission is to support our youth by providing spiritual guidance and education within the Youth Hour timeframe as well as through activities and events that encourages church and community involvement. 

On the fifth Saturday in May, the Youth Department sponsors the annual Drug & Gang Awareness Program; bringing the community together to gain knowledge on recognizing the signs of drugs/gangs and what they can do to help control the violence in their community.  In June, the graduates from kindergarten to college are acknowledged during the Graduation Sunday program and the Elite Members (65 and older) are recognized the first Sunday in November.  The Youth Department is a huge supporter of Mother’s and Father’s Day and the Back to School Supply Day for the school age youth.  The youth have fellowship opportunities during the Out of School Picnic and the Youth Birthday Celebration.  

To fund the various activities, the Youth Department held several fundraiser events, such as: The Quarter Slot Sheet Fundraiser, Fish Plate Sale and the Auto Bell Car Wash Event.
